Homemade Facial Toner Recipe

DIY Natural Face Toner with Lavender and Rose Water

Maybe you have just finished reading our "An Introduction to Natural Skin Toners" article and would like to learn how you can make your own, natural face toner. Below is a simple recipe that will have your face feeling rejuvenated in no time.

Lavender Rose Water Toner (sensitive, dry or normal skin)

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) rose water or rose water glycerin
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) distilled water
  • 1 drop lavender essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) witch hazel

Blend the ingredients together and keep in glass bottle. Label with name and make date.

Shelf Life: Approx. 3 to 4 months

Distilled rose water can be purchased at most health food stores. Why distilled water? A trace of toner may stay on your face. There are impurities in a lot of tap water that may leave traces on your skin. It also will help give your product a longer shelf life, as tap water may have residual traces of “other” things. The witch hazel adds milk toning. (Add) chamomile extract (to) calm the skin.
